NSW Police’s Raptor Squad have charged a 34-year-old man with serious offences after a vehicle stop at the 7-Eleven service station on Spit Rd.

Officers were patrolling the area at 8pm last Saturday, when they observed a gold-coloured Volkswagen Touareg allegedly travelling over the speed limit.

A 34-year-old man will face Manly court on numerous charges after his Raptor Squad arrest in Mosman.

Police searched the vehicle and the driver, allegedly locating a bag of cocaine, a pair of chrome knuckle dusters and $800 in cash.

He was charged with “possess prohibited drug”, “deal with the proceeds of crime” and two counts of “goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen”.

The registration plates on the vehicle were seized and the man is due to face Manly Local Court in September.

Axe Wielding Man Tasered in Artarmon

A 33-year-old Artarmon man was tasered by police after allegedly behaving erratically with an axe on Hampden Rd. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to engage with him, but he was allegedly non-compliant.

A taser was deployed and the man was taken into custody. Paramedics attended and transported him to hospital for assessment. The arrest was later discontinued, and he was issued with a $794 Criminal Infringement Notice for offensive behaviour”.

Teen Girl Charged – Sneaker Robbery

A 15-year-old girl has been charged with Robbery and Possession of prescribed restricted substance following an incident at Lindfield station.

Police allege that at 8:45pm on Friday 25th of July the teen approached a 14-year-old girl, demanding her shoes and threatening assault. After the victim complied, the pint-sized offender allegedly fled the scene.

She was arrested a short time later and police say they recovered the stolen shoes and 12 Xanax tablets from the girl’s bag. She did not have a prescription for the medication.

The girl was granted conditional bail and is due to face Surry Hills Children’s Court on August 19.

A teen girl has been charged after stealing a pair of sneakers from another teenager at Lindfield station.

Cocaine, Ketamine & MDMA – North Sydney

A 30-year-old man has been bail refused until December after allegedly attempting to dodge a drug test in North Sydney.

At 10:30pm last Friday, police attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting random drug and alcohol testing on Clarke Road, North Sydney. They allege the man was driving a black Mazda 3 and attempted to evade the testing site.

Enquiries revealed the man was allegedly driving while disqualified and he was then subjected to an oral drug wipe, which allegedly returned a positive result.

Police allege they found:

  • Six bags of Cocaine and one of Ketamine on the man
  • Nine bags of MDMA with 34 tablets, nine bags of ketamine and fifteen bags of cocaine in the vehicle
  • A set of knuckle dusters in the glove box
  • Another bag of cocaine in his wallet

The man was arrested and taken to Chatswood Police Station. He has been refused bail and will face Downing Centre Local Court on December 8.
