Police are asking anyone who drove through North Willoughby on Monday morning to check their dash cams, after an 81-year-old man died in hospital following a crash at the Penshurst Street shops.
Detectives from North Shore Police Area Command want dash cam footage, CCTV vision and information from anyone who saw what happened.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Penshurst and Macmahon streets about 11.30am on Monday, 20 July, following reports of a crash.
Police were told a Toyota van was turning right at the intersection when it hit the man.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for what police described as minor injuries, then taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
About 10pm on Monday, police were told the 81-year-old had died in hospital.
The driver, a 37-year-old man, was not hurt. He returned a negative breath test at the scene.

North Shore detectives have started an investigation into the cause of the crash.
