Mosman Seniors Centre gets a new name this weekend, and Council is marking the occasion with a day of celebrations for the whole community.
The much-loved facility, which opened in August 1995, will be known as the Mosman Village Community Centre following a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Ann Marie Kimber at 11 am on Saturday.

The day kicks off at 8 am with Mosman Markets, with the community centre doors opening at 9 am for Zumba sessions, followed by a magic show at 10 am.
Visitors are also invited to pop in until 2 pm to create some craft, help curate artworks, play table tennis and share ideas for future centre activities to complement and expand on the continuing program for seniors.
Mosman Council’s 2024-25 Annual Report highlights the popularity of the Centre, recording more than 32,000 visits against a target of 23,000.

In-centre meals were up 19%, with 3,321 plates served – more than triple the annual target.
The Mosman Village Community Centre is a place for older people to relax, socialise over a meal or take part in one of our many activities with other older adults from the local community.
It is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
