Caught at last: Man charged over June 2025 Mosman and Cremorne home break-ins.

Police have charged a 35-year-old man after a spate of break ins on the lower north shore.

A luxury BMW and a Porsche were allegedly stolen from two Mosman homes on the same night, while families slept inside, as part of a brazen two-night break-in spree that also targeted Cremorne.
Police will allege a 35-year-old Glebe man broke into three lower north shore homes across two nights in June 2025, escaping with car keys, high-value items and two prestige vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
It would take almost a year to catch him.

A grey BMW X3 was allegedly stolen from one of the homes on 7 June, 2025.
The Cremorne break-in
The first alleged offence took place on 5 June 2025, when police claim a residential home in Cremorne was broken into while the family was away on holiday.
Entry was forced and multiple items were stolen.
Police will allege in court that the break-in was captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the home, and that DNA recovered during a forensic examination matched the Glebe man.
Two Mosman homes hit on the same night
Just two nights later, on 7 June 2025, police will allege the same man broke into a Mosman home while the occupants were inside and asleep.
Among the items stolen were the keys to a Grey BMW X3, which was then driven from the property.

Chatswood detectives say DNA recovered during a forensic examination at the properties matched the Glebe man.
A forensic examination at the scene allegedly returned a second DNA match to the Glebe man.
Police will allege that on the same evening, the man moved on to a second Mosman home, again with the family asleep inside.
He allegedly entered the home through the garage and stole high-value items including the keys to a Porsche Macan, which was subsequently driven from the property.
That incident, police will allege, was also captured on CCTV.
Tracked to a Lane Cove backyard
It was the BMW X3 that eventually gave the alleged offender away.
On Tuesday, 15 April 2026 – ten months after it was driven out of the Mosman home – police were tipped off that the stolen BMW was on the move.
Officers followed the vehicle to Lane Cove, where they allegedly located the 35-year-old hiding in the backyard of a property.
He was arrested at the scene and taken to Chatswood Police Station.

The man allegedly entered a Mosman home through the garage and stole high-value items including the keys to a Porsche Macan.
Bail refused
The 35-year-old has been charged with aggravated break and enter in company with intent to steal, two counts of aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, and take and drive conveyance without consent of owner.
He was bail refused and is due to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on 16 June.
