Crows Nest, are you ready?!

Sunday May 26 brings an opportunity to check out the new Metro Station at Crows Nest at a special community day for lower north shore residents.

Ticket holders can take a self-guided tour of the facility, meet the team behind the project and step onto the platforms, 25 metres underground.

Ticket holders can explore the new station which is 25 metres below ground.

Visitors will also see some new public art designed by 36-year-old Esther Stewart,  crafted from bespoke ceramic tiles made at Bendigo Pottery.

Once open, travellers will have easy access with two entrances, on Clarke Street and Pacific Highway, as well as nine escalators and five lifts throughout the fully accessible station, which have been installed and commissioned for operations.

So when does the station officially open? The word on the street is mid-June, but we are yet to have this confirmed. What we can tell you however is that travel times from Crowie are awesome!

  • 4 minutes to Chatswood Station
  • 5 minutes to Barangaroo Station
  • 7 minutes to Martin Place Station.

The Crows Nest Metro will take just 7 minutes to get into the CBD.
