Join the community conversation and have your say about Mosman’s future.
By STAFF REPORTERS
Mosman Council will be holding a series of ‘Community Conversations’ to seek further community input into the LGAs future.
Residents are invited to register for one of the small group sessions, scheduled at various times on 10 and 12 September, to provide input on how people live, play and connect in Mosman, and how to make the most of the area over the next decade.
The conversations will inform the next Community Strategic Plan, MOSPLAN 2025-2035, due for adoption in June 2025.
Each Community Conversations event will be held at Mosman Civic Centre. Registrations are open until 6 September via their website.
Library Enhancements
Barry O’Keefe Library will benefit from new shelving designed to enhance the experience for visitors coming to browse and borrow. The project will provide mobile shelving units, which can be reconfigured to suit a variety of layouts.
Installation is scheduled from Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 September. Access to the upper level of the library will be restricted during this time. The lower level of the library will remain open for browsing, studying, and computer and meeting room use.
Locations may change for some scheduled events.

Aluminium was the most recycled material, followed by PET plastic and glass.
Eligible containers are worth 10 cents and individuals can keep the refund or donate it to a worthy cause.
Reverse vending machines and over-the-counter collection points can be located at the website.

E-waste Drop Off
Council’s next biannual e-waste drop-off event is happening on Sunday 25 August.
Residents can bring unwanted electronic goods and small electrical appliances to the Mosman Square Council car park between 9am and 4pm.
Items received will be recycled into new products, diverting materials from landfill where they could become environmentally toxic.
During the last event held in February, computers, TVs, other electrical items, and mobile phones were among the most contributed household items.
