Mosman Collective – in conjunction with local council – provides a weekly wrap up on all the latest from Chambers as part of our ongoing commitment to deliver free local news, with NO PAYWALL!

Inkerman St Jetty

The completion of works to refurbish the jetty and seawall on has been marked with an official opening by Mayor Carolyn Corrigan.

The renovation involved replacing unsafe decking and restoring an adjacent seawall, improving access around an on-site watercraft storage area and creating formal spaces for boat users, including installing a new dinghy rack.

The project aims to enhance safety and improve the visitor experience.

It was financed by Council, with additional funding from the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program.

Festive Decorations

Mosman businesses are getting into the spirit of the season, decorating their shopfronts as part of the Council and Chamber of Commerce’s yearly Rapt decorating competition.

Entrants decorate their shopfront in a Christmas-inspired theme of their choice to be in the running for a share of prizes donated by local businesses, collectively worth more than $2000.

Past winners have included food stores, fashion boutiques, salons and hospitality businesses that tapped into themes centred around festive lights, floral arrangements, iconography, inflatables, and use of sustainable materials.

Entries close on 4 December, with judging to take place the following day, giving members of the public plenty of time to enjoy the displays in the lead up to Christmas.

Council has secured additional funding for the project through the NSW Local Small Commitments Allocation – Playground and Park Upgrades program and will utilise the grant while funding the balance of works at Reid Park.

It is expected that works will be completed by the end of 2024.
