“Winter Feast” Mosman night market to warm things up on June 20.
By ANNA USHER
Mosman Square and the Village Green will come alive after dark for a special WinterFeast Night Market on Thursday 20 June.
The festivities kick off at 4.30pm, with stalls, music and entertainment running until 9pm.
Hot food and drinks, artisan goods and fashion to suit the season will be available, while fairy lights and a boutique village vibe will bring a cosy atmosphere to the chilly winters evening.
It is one of several night-time activations on the Mosman events calendar this year, with more evening markets and a street party at Mosman Junction still to come.

Balmoral Lighting Upgrade
Works to replace streetlights at Balmoral are expected to start in July, for completion before the summer season.
Existing lights will be replaced with LED technology to enhance efficiency, with a projected 40 per cent energy saving.
Lighting has been designed to be contained to pathways to reduce light spill, so as not to disturb surrounding homes and wildlife.
Under-seat lighting will also be added to existing concrete benches to increase amenity.
Sydney Film Festival
Movie buffs will have plenty of options for cinema viewing in the week ahead, from new arthouse offerings to classics screened in a social setting.
The Sydney Film Festival is on at the Orpheum until 16 June, with a documentary on tennis ace Roger Federer, a film starring Australia’s own Rose Byrne alongside Robert De Niro, and the world premiere of Aussie film Kid Snow among the highlights.
On 18 June, Mosman Square Seniors Centre is showing the classic Roman Holiday, starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, at its monthly Tuesday Brunch Club.

Café Catch Up
Following the successful launch of a Chatty Chair in Mosman Square and Chatty Cafés in local businesses and civic venues, the conversation is continuing each Monday, from 10am to 12pm, at Mosman Square Seniors Centre.
This weekly Chatty Café is a time where anyone can stop in for a chat and a conversation. It’s an opportunity to meet someone new in Mosman and share a quick coffee or a longer interaction.
The activity is part of the national Chatty Café Scheme, which aims to build friendly social connections through simple interactions that may brighten someone’s day.
New Citizens
Council will host its next citizenship ceremony on 20 June, the first of these occasions to be held at the new Allan Border Oval Pavilion.
The countries of origin of the group of 30 conferees include Brazil, China, Indonesia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.
The ceremony coincides with World Refugee Day, part of Refugee Week which runs from 16 to 22 June.
