ANZAC Day 2025: Your guide to local services and events in Mosman and North Sydney LGAs.

This Anzac Day will mark 110 years since the landing at Gallipoli in 1915, with Australians and New Zealanders set to remember and reflect on the contribution and sacrifices made by Diggers past and present on April 25.

Whether it’s heading to a dawn service, watching an Anzac Day march or playing two-up, here’s your local guide to what’s happening on the lower north shore.

North Sydney Dawn Service

The community is invited to attend the ANZAC Dawn Memorial Service at North Sydney War Memorial in St Leonards Park, Ridge St behind North Sydney Oval. On-site seating is available for seniors.

Breakfast and drinks will be available after the service from The Greens North Sydney.

Mosman Dawn Service

Mosman’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service will be held at the Parade Ground adjacent to Harbour Trust Headquarters on Best Avenue commencing at 5:30am next Friday. Parking is available on Georges Heights Oval, just a short walk to the Parade Ground. This is weather dependent.

Gunfire Breakfast at Frenchy’s Cafe at 6:30am.

Additionally, the Cenotaph in Martin Place will host a Dawn Service at 4:20 am, and the North Bondi service starts at 6:00 am. The Sydney CBD Anzac Day March starts at 9:00 am at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Martin Place.

In Mosman, the ANZAC Day Dawn Service is held at Georges Heights Parade Ground.

Where can I play Two Up?

“Come in spinner!” Punters will be screaming it loud and clear as RSL clubs and pubs across the lower north shore host games of two-up next Friday, the only day of the year when you can legally play the traditional game.

The lower north shore is a popular Two Up location, with large crowds gathering at pubs in Mosman and North Sydney LGAs.

The Greens, North Sydney

Join us at The Greens North Sydney on ANZAC Day Friday 25th of April as we commemorate the brave men and women who have served our country. Two-Up on The Greens from 12pm with Live Entertainment.

The Greens in North Sydney will host Two Up from midday.

Greenwood, North Sydney

The Greenwood kicks off from 10:30am, with this year’s Two-Up arena bigger than ever. $1 from every Carlton Draught sold goes to the Legacy Foundation. Please note that tables in the Northern Courtyard are available on a first in best dressed basis only. Bookings are available for the Southern Courtyard only for the NRL.

Join The Mosman Club to commemorate Anzac Day on Friday April 25 from 10am, with Two-Up games running from 2-6pm.
Catch the AFL match between Bombers and Magpies at 3:20 pm, followed by the NRL clash between Roosters and Dragons at 4:05 pm
Pay tribute to our heroes and enjoy a day filled with remembrance and sports.
