Gelato Messina announces new lower north shore delivery zones.
Let’s face it, there’s only so much Streets Blue Ribbon ice cream a person can eat in lockdown and after ten long weeks at home, Gelato Messina has come to the rescue on the lower north shore, announcing a surprise expansion of its delivery zones.
Thirteen suburbs in our local area have been added to the list, with residents able to order a gelato fix online in Kirribilli, North Sydney, Neutral Bay, Crows Nest, Cammeray, Willoughby, Artarmon, Lane Cove, Chatswood, Cremorne, Cremorne Point and Mosman (including Balmoral).
A 30-customer per day cap is in place temporarily, with more suburbs and products expected to be offered in the coming weeks.
Founded by the Palumbo family in 2002, Gelato Messina now has 14 stores in NSW, each offering a 40-flavour cabinet with 35 traditional icy treats plus five rotating weekly specials which have a cult following among foodies.
“Anything goes for a Messina special – smashed up cheesecake, cookies, red velvet cake, caramel, honeycomb, coulis, fudges, wafers, brownies…we’re not afraid to add bacon, nachos, potato chips…pretty much anything can be made into a delicious Messina special in the hands of our Head Chef Donato Toce,” the website says.
“Our brownies, the pralines, the pastries, the fudges and everything else in-between is made by our in house chefs.
“We bake our own apple pies, we juice real mint leaves for the choc mint; we even make our own dulce de leche. We make the most honest, highest quality gelato we can and do our best to make sure that what you are tasting is the real deal.”
