Cars vandalised on Bradleys Head Rd, Mosman. Man charged after Neutral Bay Post Office theft.

A man will face Manly Court after allegedly damaging three cars on Bradleys Head Rd in Mosman.

A 38-year-old man will face Manly Local Court later this month after allegedly damaging vehicles in Mosman.

At 2:00am on January 22, police were called to Bradleys Head Road in relation to a male damaging parked vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located three damaged cars, which had sustained damage to the driver side mirrors.

“All three vehicles had sustained damage to the driver side mirrors,” police said.

A North Shore Police Area Command spokesperson said the man was located nearby holding a metal bottle. Police will allege the male used the metal bottle to damage the vehicles.

“Police will allege that during the search they located a debit card and a rewards card that did not belong to the male,” the spokesperson said, “the male allegedly told police that he found the cards.”

The man was conveyed to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with ‘Destroy or damage property’ and ‘Goods in personal custody suspected being stolen’.

He was given conditional bail and will face Manly Local Court on the 15th of February.

The man faces Manly Court on February 15.

Meanwhile, in Neutral Bay, a 41-year-old Neutral Bay man has been charged with shoplifting.

It is alleged that at 3:20pm on Thursday 18 January, the resident entered the Neutral Bay Post Office and selected three items before hiding them inside a backpack he was carrying.

“The male then selected one more item and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items,” a police spokesperson told Mosman Collective.

A man has been charged with stealing several items from Neutral Bay Post Office, worth $158.85.

The total value of the items allegedly taken was $158.85.

The following day, police attended the store and commenced an investigation.

“While at the store reviewing CCTV footage, police were made aware by staff that the male had returned to the store. Police approached the male and placed him under arrest,” the spokesperson said.

The male was conveyed to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with Shoplifting. He attended Manly Local Court on the 25th of January where he entered a guilty plea.

The Neutral Bay man is due to be sentenced at Manly Local Court on the 7th of March 2024.
