Crime Watch: 29-year-old allegedly crashes into McMahons Point parked car – blows high range.

North Shore Police Area Command provides this week’s Crime Watch in conjunction with Mosman Collective.

A 29-year-old female has been charged with Drive with High Range PCA, Refuse or Fail to Submit to Breath Test & Not Give Particulars to Police.

About 10:35pm Thursday 6th June 2024 the female was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle collision on Blues Point Road, McMahons Point where her vehicle collided with a parked vehicle.

A 29-Year-old female has been charged after the alleged incident on Blues Point Rd, McMahons Point.

Police attended shortly after and will allege they located the female still seated in the vehicle. She was allegedly aggressive and argumentative with police. Police will allege in court that the female refused to provide a version of the collision or submit to a roadside breath test.

The female was conveyed to Chatswood Police station where she underwent a breath analysis returning a reading of 0.206 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.

The female was issued with a field court attendance notice and her license suspended. She will appear before Hornsby Local Court in July.

Police allege the woman blew high range after the vehicle crash.

Vehicle Fire, Mosman.

A vehicle has been destroyed by fire in Mosman.

About 6:30pm on Friday 14th June 2024 Police and Fire Rescue were called to Spit Road, Mosman. Upon arrival the entire bonnet area of the vehicle was engulfed in flames.

Fire Rescue extinguished the flames a short time later. It is believed the fire started due to a mechanical fault in the engine bay.

The vehicle required towing from the scene and the driver of the vehicle was assessed by paramedics. The incident caused significant traffic delays.

Drug Lab, Chatswood.

About 9:30pm on Wednesday 19th June 2024 police were called to an apartment block in Chatswood by NSW Fire and Rescue in response to a fire alarm.

Upon entering the unit, firefighters allegedly location a clandestine lab in the bathroom.

Police attended the location, and a crime scene was established. Numerous items were located inside the room consistent with the production of illicit drugs.

Specialist police attached to the Chemical Operations Unit attended and examined the scene.

Police are continuing enquires into the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police have uncovered a clandestine drug lab in Chatswood.

Possess Cannabis, St Leonards.

A 17-year-old male has been dealt with under the Young Offenders Act for Possess Prohibited Drug.

About 2:30pm Sunday 23rd of June 2024 police received reports of a fight at St Leonards Forum.

Police attended the location shortly after and spoke with the 17-year-old who allegedly attempted to evade police. The male was stopped shortly after and subjected to a search. Police will allege that during the search police located amount of Cannabis.

The male was issued with a move on direction and left the area.

The male will participate in a Youth Justice Conference for the offence.

A 17-year-old boy has been caught with Cannabis in St Leonards.

Shoplifting, Assault Officer, Lane Cove.

A 45-Year-old male has been charged with Shoplifting, Assault police officer in execution of duty & hinder or resist police officer.

About 3:00pm Monday 24th of June 2024 the male attended a supermarket in Lane Cove allegedly under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Police will allege the male stole numerous items from the store then left without making any attempt to pay for the items.

Police located the male shortly after and subjected him to a search subsequently locating the stolen items. During the interaction, the male allegedly made threats towards police and was arrested as a result. The male was conveyed to Chatswood Police Station.

The male was released with conditional bail to be before Hornsby Local Court on the 25th of June 2024.

A 45-year-old Lane Cove man has been charged with shop lifting and assaulting a Police Officer.

Defibs gifted to Local Police.

North Shore Police recently took delivery of 8 Automated External Defibrillators (AED) kits generously donated by a member of the community.

North Shore police had been involved in the successful resuscitation of a relative of this community member and as a gesture of gratitude they have supplied these kits to the North Shore Police Area Command in the hope further lives may be saved.

The kits have been installed in first response vehicles within the command and have been supplied with pads that can assist both adults and children.

Superintendent Devaney said, “We are extremely grateful to this generous member of the community for their donation. We are often the first emergency services on scene at a cardiac arrest and this valuable device will allow us to administer immediate lifesaving first aid giving the patient the best chance of survival.”
