Here’s the latest update from North Shore Police Area Command (it’s been a long time between drinks!)

Officers from North Shore Police Area Command are continuing their enquiries following a late-night teen brawl at Chinamans Beach on April 12.

Multiple crews were called to Rosherville Reserve around 10pm after receiving reports from concerned residents who witnessed the punch on.

“Police spoke with a group of five young persons, who said that they attended Chinamans Beach, where they spoke with a second group of young persons,” A North Shore PAC spokesperson told Mosman Collective.

“The second group of young persons were allegedly aggressive and confrontational and then allegedly assaulted members of the first group by punching, kicking, slapping and pushing them.

“Members of the first group suffered a variety of minor injuries and fled the scene.”

Local police are again urging residents to lock up after several break ins.

Car Stolen After Mosman Robbery

Police have commenced an investigation after a house on Bapaume Road was broken into, and a black BMW stolen.

Mosman Collective understands that between 10:00pm on Saturday the 12th of April and 4:00am on Sunday the 13th of April, an unknown person/s gained access to the residence via a laundry door.

“Once inside the laundry, the offender/s located a spare key to the BMW parked in the garage which they stole,” a Police spokesperson said.

At 5:00am on Sunday 13th of April, officers were called to Frederick Street, Blacktown after reports of a vehicle fire. Police attended and located the burnt-out wreck of the black BMW stolen from Mosman.

“This is a timely reminder to the community of the importance of locking both your houses and vehicles at night, even when you are home,” Police said.

Break and Enter – Roseville

Three 15-year-olds will face Children’s Court after a night of destruction in Roseville on April 12, that resulted in police finding a handgun.

Just after 4am, Police were called to Hill Street after members of the public saw the teens allegedly vandalising shop fronts.

A short time later, the group was located at Roseville Railway Station where they were arrested and conveyed to Chatswood Police Station.

Investigations revealed that at 4:03am the teens attempted to break into a convenience store on Hill Street, but were unsuccessful. They then allegedly gained access to a Pharmacy, by forcefully kicking the front door of the premises, which activated the security alarm.

“Once inside the store they made their way to the cash register and ransacked the store before running from the store to Roseville Train Station,” a Police spokesperson said.

On Sunday 13 March 2025, police arrested two of the boys, allegedly locating a black handgun in one of their homes. The third teen was arrested on April 14.
Strike Force Sweetenham has since taken carriage of the investigation.

The three boys are due to face Surry Hills Childrens Court in the coming months.

Three teenagers have been charged and Strike Force Sweetenham is investigating after a spate of Roseville break ins.

Teen Drug Charges – Chatswood

A 16-year-old Killarney Heights boy has been charged with possessing a prohibited drug after being searched by police in Chatswood.

At 3:30pm on Friday 11 April, officers were conducting high visibility, proactive patrols of Chatswood CBD when they allegedly observed the boy enter a Tobacconist and purchase multiple clear resaleable plastic bags.

As the boy walked out of the shop, police stopped and spoke with the young person. Police had cause to search the boy and will allege that during the search, they located 19 grams of cannabis inside a bag he was carrying.

The Killarney Heights boy was arrested and conveyed to Chatswood Police Station. During a secondary search while in custody, police located a small resealable bag containing a white powder which police will allege was cocaine.

The boy was charged with two counts of “Possess Prohibited Drug” and will appear before Surry Hills Childrens Court on the 29th of May 2025.

A 16-year-old Killarney Heights boy has been charged with possessing cannabis after being searched by police in Chatswood.

Neutral Bay Woman Charged

A 19-year-old Neutral Bay woman has been charged with “Goods in Personal Custody Suspected of being Stolen” and “Breach of Bail”.

At 5:45pm on Friday 11 April police attended Chatswood Oval and walked past a group of females. While walking past the group, police could smell a strong scent of cannabis, and also noticed that members of the group were consuming alcohol.

Police spoke with the group and had cause to search the Neutral Bay woman. Police will allege that during the search, police located five clothing items all with security tags still attached.

The 19-year-old was arrested and conveyed to Chatswood Police Station where she was charged by police.
She appeared before Parramatta Local Court where she entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to a 9-month conditional release order.

Police have issued a 22 year old man with a Field Court Attendance notice after he was pulled over on April 12.

Possess Prohibited Weapon – Crows Nest

At 10:25pm on Saturday 12 April, police were patrolling Crows Nest when they stopped a Mazda BT-50 on Rocklands Road.

“Police spoke with the 22-year-old male driver who was unable to produce a current driver’s license, with further checks revealing that his licence had been suspended since February 2025,” a spokesperson said.

Police had a further conversation with the male in which he allegedly told them there was a small amount of cannabis and a knife in the vehicle.

The man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for “Possess Prohibited Drug” and “Custody of an Offensive Implement”. The man was also issued with a Suspension Notice Advice document.

He is due before Manly Local Court in June.
