Mosman men headed to Court after Sunday drinking session takes twisted turn.

A 40-year-old man and his 37-year-old mate are being investigated after an allegation that they visited Taronga Zoo after close of business.

About 7:20pm on Sunday 7 July, the pair were allegedly observed jumping over the fence that surrounds the zoo premises on Bradleys Head Rd.

Two local men are being investigated after an allegation that they “visited” Taronga Zoo after hours.

Police were notified and attended shortly after.

Officers located the men outside the boundary of the zoo and say that both were allegedly intoxicated and provided “varying” versions of events.

The men were issued with a move on direction to leave the area which they complied with.

Police are making further enquiries, and it is likely the boozed up buddies will face Manly Local Court in the coming months.

Police say it is likely the men will appear in Manly Court at a future date.

Speeding P-plater loses licence.

An 18-year-old male has received two infringements and lost his licence after a traffic incident on Burns Bay Road, Linley Point.

About 11:00pm Friday 21 June, police were conducting speed enforcement of Linley Point when a Red Tesla bearing red P plates was observed at what police will allege was 128 km/h in a 70km/h zone.

Officers stopped the Tesla shortly after, which was occupied by the male and two other persons under the age of 21.

The man was hit with fines totalling $3438 and lost nine demerit points.

His driver’s license was suspended.

Chatswood Graffiti Charge

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with Graffiti related offences in Chatswood.

About 3:20pm Friday 5 July, Police were conducting a foot patrol of Chatswood Oval where they allege, they observed the young person tagging a concrete pillar of the grandstand.

Police approached the teen and introduced themselves before the boy tried to leg it – unsuccessfully.

He was charged with two offences and will appear before Surry Hills Childrens Court in August.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with Graffiti related offences in Chatswood.

Crows Nest Knife

A 36-year-old man has been charged with Custody of a knife in a public place.

About 2:50am Monday 8 July, Police were patrolling Crows Nest when they observed three males walking along Alexander Street. When the group of males sighted Police, they immediately split up and walked in opposite directions.

Two of them were stopped by officers shortly after and denied knowing each other.

The 36-year-old was allegedly found to be in possession of a fold out knife and scalpel. Police seized the weapons and issued him with a Field Court attendance notice for Custody of a Knife in a Public Place.

The man will appear before Manly Local Court in August.

Police also located a bag of housebreaking implements in the vicinity of where the males were initially observed. Police are making further enquiries to determine if the items belonged to any of the males at which stage further charges may be laid.
