Hunter Valley Uncorked returns to Balmoral on October 16 after a two year Covid break.

After a two-year break, Hunter Valley Uncorked is set to return to the beautiful shores of Balmoral Beach on Sunday October 16, 2022.

Supported by Wine Selectors, locals are invited to hit the beach next weekend to sample some of the best Semillon in the world, then kick back by the Rotunda to enjoy live music by Soul Shack Music, and enjoy a fusion of wine, food and good company.

With all your favourite Hunter Valley wineries, restaurants and producers in one place, it’s a day you won’t want to miss.

Tickets for Hunter Valley Uncorked start at just $30 and include a free wine glass plus tasting vouchers.

Hunter Valley’s finest drops will be in circulation with 1813, Allandale Winery, Bimbadgen, Boydell’s Wines, Briar Ridge Vineyard, Brokenwood Wines, Colvin Wines, Comyns & Co. Wines, Drury Lane Estate, Glandore, Greenway Wines, Hungerford Hill, Iron Gate Estate, Ivanhoe Wines, Keith Tulloch Wine, Mercer Wines, Peterson House, Thomas Wines, Tulloch Wines, Winmark Wines, Twine Restaurant, Hunter Valley Cheese Factory, Amsterdam Pancakes, Bar Coco, Hunter Valley Gardens, Mercure Hunter Valley  and Mosman Rotary.

“We are delighted to be bringing all things Hunter Valley back to Balmoral next month after a two-year break,” said Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association Acting CEO Jennie Curran.

“Our producers are excited to be welcomed back to showcase their wines and produce to the Sydney and local communities for a great day out.”

Festival goers can sample the region’s finest wines by purchasing either a Festival Pack or a Premium Pack.

The Festival Pack available for pre-purchase is $30 and includes entry, one tumbler and four tasting vouchers. The Premium Pack is available for pre-purchase for $55 and includes entry, one Spiegelau wine glass, 4x tasting vouchers and a meal voucher.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale from September 12, plus purchase pre-sale tickets and go in the draw to win the ultimate Hunter Valley getaway for two people. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased on the day at the gate.

Hunter Valley Uncorked Balmoral will operate a digital currency to ensure in-event covid compliance management, improved speed of service, increased security, and ease of transactions at the Vendor Stalls. As such, all food and drinks purchased will need to be paid for using the simple, tap-and-go Festival Currency Wristbands.

The event kicks off at 11am, with the last wine vouchers sold at 4.30pm and last wine poured at 4.45pm for a 5pm finish.

There will be free event shuttle buses running every 15 minutes from Mosman and Spit Junction to Balmoral Beach.

Live music at the Rotunda, a glass of wine and some gourmet food is the perfect way to spend a Sunday at Balmoral.

Whether you want to meander through the myriad of stalls or kick-back to the chilled live music beachside with a zesty glass of Hunter Semillon in hand, Uncorked Balmoral is the place to unwind on a lazy Spring Sunday.
