A delicious new cake shop serving up old-fashioned favourites and custom creations has opened its doors in Mosman – and locals can’t get enough.

Sweet Ivy, owned by talented baker Ivy Tran, is the latest addition to the Spofforth St shopping village, tucked just around the corner at 10 Reginald St – the former home of Kitchen Curries.

Sweet Ivy offers a range of colourful Macarons and specialty cakes, made to order.

“I use all-natural ingredients, and everything is baked from scratch on-site,” Ivy told Mosman Collective. “I fell in love with the little shop and its beautiful brass fittings – it feels like it was meant to be.”

The menu includes colourful macarons, brownies, cookies and shortbread, but it’s Ivy’s made-to-order birthday cakes that are stealing the show.

The ‘Green Monster’ birthday cake is a kids favourite.

All cakes are decorated free of charge.

Flavours like Raspberry and White Chocolate, Lemon Blueberry, Black Forest and Red Velvet are baked fresh daily – and each cake comes beautifully decorated at no extra cost.

“Kids birthday cakes are really popular,” Ivy said. “Our Green Monster is a favourite with boys, and girls adore anything with love hearts!”

Whole cake prices start at $27 for a small, with medium ($50), large ($75), and extra-large ($95) options available – all including custom decorations.

“Our motto is ‘Purely Natural, Perfectly Sweet’,” Ivy said. “It’s a great value considering everything is made with premium ingredients.”

New treats are also on the horizon. Ivy plans to launch a homemade Lemon Tart and traditional Aussie baked goods in the coming weeks – and she’s calling on locals to suggest menu ideas.

“I want Sweet Ivy to be a true reflection of the community,” she said. “Everyone has been so welcoming – it’s been a joy to open here.”

This week, Ivy’s Basque Cheesecake has been a winner, with her order book filling fast.

This week, Ivy’s Basque Cheesecake has been an instant hit, with pre-orders already piling up.

“It’s perfect for dinner parties or a weekend indulgence,” she said.
