Cremorne woman appeals for help after losing 1.3 carat diamond.

A local woman is appealing for help to find a 1.3 carat diamond that fell from her engagement ring on Monday.
Cremorne resident Sharlene Wood noticed the flawless solitaire was missing from its gold band while on a lunch break in McMahons Point around 12:30pm.
The devastated bride-to-be thinks her diamond – still in its six-claw setting – may have come loose while en-route to Mitchell St Park, just off Victoria St.
“I haven’t stopped crying for two days and am asking for anyone who may have found the diamond to come forward,” Sharlene told Mosman Collective.
“My engagement ring is always on my left hand and the diamond is quite unmissable.
“I can’t believe it has come loose from its setting, and my Fiancé is terribly upset that this has occurred so close to our wedding day.”
Sharlene is due to wed her partner Damian Savio on November 5.
The couple have placed flyers in shop windows around North Sydney and McMahons Point and are asking locals to be on the lookout.
“We live in such an amazing and close-knit community, so I pray there is a Good Samaritan out there who finds the diamond and returns it,” she said.
“I’m not sure what more I can do, other than ask for help from the public.”
The large diamond, purchased from a reputable jeweller on Castlereagh St in the CBD, was resized and cleaned at the same business just two weeks ago, Sharlene said.
“I have worn my beautiful engagement ring without incident for two years,” she said, “and we decided to have it resized and cleaned at the same jeweller two weeks ago.”
“The ring has never been dropped because it doesn’t leave my finger – I rarely take it off.”
Sharlene has listed all the businesses she attended on Monday in the hope someone may have found her precious solitaire.
