North Sydney Council’s free sunset concerts will be held on October 29 and 30.

Get your picnic hampers and deck chairs ready – the lower north shore’s Sunset Series is back in 2022!

The hugely popular event returns to Waverton Park in the next few weeks, with some of Sydney’s top live bands performing in a completely FREE, two-night extravaganza of outdoor entertainment for the whole family.

North Sydney Mayor Zoe Baker says the Sunset Series is a perfect way for the local community to make the most of longer days and warmer weather.

The Spicy Margaritas headline on Saturday 29 October, with a fun mix of top hits from across the decades, as well as funk, soul, and party beats.

And, on Sunday 30 October, ABBALANCHE the Australian ABBA Tribute Show will take the stage, with locals invited to dress up and rock out to those iconic 70’s hits we all know word-for-word!

North Sydney Mayor Zoe Baker says the Sunset Series is a perfect way for the local community to make the most of the longer days and warmer Spring nights with music and great food.

“Sunset Series is an opportunity for the community to come together in one of our picturesque parks and enjoy a weekend of live music with family and friends,” she said.

“These music concerts are free to attend, and people can bring their own picnics to enjoy under the setting sun with a backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

“A park picnic with family and friends and fantastic live performances is a great way to
welcome in Spring and the longer, warmer days.”

Pack a picnic with friends at head to Waverton Park this October.

Food will be available to purchase on the night, but attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics.

Waverton Park is located in Woolcott St, Waverton.

Transport and Accessibility
By train – Waverton Station is approximately a six-minute walk from Waverton Park, along Bay Rd and Woolcott St. The station is wheelchair friendly, has an accessible lift, hearing loop, platform tactile tiles, portable boarding ramp and a wheelchair accessible toilet.
