Kirribilli pensioner’s surprising purchase after winning $100,000 Lottery Jackpot.

A Kirribilli pensioner has won $100,000 in last week’s Super Jackpot Lottery.

A Kirribilli pensioner will upgrade his old model flip phone after scoring more than $100,000 in last week’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10799, drawn Tuesday 3 October 2023.

The man said he will upgrade his old model phone, which cost just $15.

In another stroke of luck, he also bagged $2000 in consolation prizes, bolstering his total bounty to $102,000.

Officials from The Lott were unable to reach the mystery man until he checked his ticket Friday morning.

“Oh my!” the winning man told a Lottery spokesperson in response to the win, this is extraordinary!”

The man purchased the ticket at the Miller St Oval news agency.

“I’ll be able to buy a new phone! One of those fancy touchscreen ones.”

“It’s remarkable to see the draw offers in the newsagency but the fact I’ve won them is something else!

“It’ll make a nice summer and I’ll be eating well!

“Thank you so much!”

His winning entry of five consecutive numbers was purchased at the Miller Street Oval Newsagency, with the owner saying he was “overjoyed” to hear their mystery winner had come forward and wished him all the best.

The Kirribilli pensioner said he will buy a new phone after winning $100,000.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $8.44 million for draw 1628, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.31 million for draw 10801.

In 2023, 218 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $79.20 million.

The last big win in North Sydney was in 2020, when a resident took out a massive $50 million first prize in Oz Lotto
