Campaign posters for Warringah Liberal candidate Jaimee Rogers and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton were vandalized in an overnight attack, escalating concerns about electoral mischief in the area.
The signs, displaying images of Rogers and Dutton, were defaced with offensive symbols and text – two Rogers’ posters received a Hitler moustache and devil’s horns, while Dutton’s had the words “Temu Trump” written in black marker.

The homeowner, who lives on Harbour Street, told Mosman Collective the incident was “unacceptable on every level”. Image: Mosman Collective.
The incident on Harbour St has sparked unease among some residents, who made immediate reports to NSW Police and Mosman Collective.
The property owner, who discovered the vandalism early this morning and wishes to remain anonymous, expressed his outrage.
“This is a disgraceful act from a person who is willing to destroy my property, disrespect the rule of law, and behave in a totally anti-social way,” he said.
“It is unacceptable on every single level.”

A father of three young children, the man said he had displayed three Liberal Party posters on his property just nine days ago.
“This is the work of someone who is intellectually bankrupt, petty, weak – and unable to debate someone with an opposing political view,” he said.
“How utterly pathetic.”

The event follows last week’s “lipstick attack” on a political poster in Mosman, where a group of women were filmed using Chanel makeup to deface a corflute of Warringah MP Zali Steggall. That incident was swiftly addressed by local police, resulting in a caution issued to one of the perpetrators, a 76-year-old local woman.
Ms Rogers told Mosman Collective that while she was disappointed, the ugly deed would not impact her campaign to win the federal seat of Warringah on May 3.
“This behaviour will not deter me, I will continue to focus on listening to local residents and local businesses every day about the issues they want addressed such as cost of living,” she said.
