Residents asked to help shape the future of Reid Park at Mosman Bay.

Residents are being asked to complete a survey that will shape the future look of Reid Park at Mosman Bay.
Council is seeking input from the community to make the children’s playground a more comfortable, engaging and welcoming public space.
A proposed facelift of the historic area is scheduled for completion during 2024/25 and will be funded by Council, with additional costs to be provided by the NSW Government’s Local Small Commitments Allocation (LSCA) grants program.
Reid Park’s last major upgrade was completed in 2005.
A survey has now been posted on the Mosman Council website, asking a series of questions to identify priorities for the popular playground.
Residents are asked to choose their favourite type of play equipment, and whether they would like to see other features including more seating, picnic facilities and fitness equipment.
Respondents also have the opportunity to list the preferred materials (metal, timber or plastic) used in the new play structure.
“An initial indication of the issues and opportunities for Reid Park playground have been flagged through operational reporting and the recently updated Plan of Management,” Council said.
“Take this opportunity to have your say, provide feedback for the design and planning of this exciting new community playground by completing the online survey form by 22 March 2024.
“The playground renewal is expected to be completed by December 2024.”
