Is there anything better than a warm scone, loaded with jam and cream?

High tea is now being served at Allan Border Oval Pavilion, complete with white tablecloths, dainty sandwiches and bite-sized treats thanks to the young adults from Head High Disability Service.

The team from Head High are serving morning and afternoon tea until March 31.

The pop up tea room is the latest initiative from the much-loved local group, who have already added more booking dates to cope with demand.

“We are blown away by the community support,” Head High Founder Julia Ross-Edwards told Mosman Collective, “the pop up tea room is booked solid for morning and afternoon tea – and our workers are loving every minute of this very special experience.”

Fifty percent of all profits go to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

Cucumber sandwiches, quiche, cake and scones are all made fresh by the Head High team, along with live music adding to the ambience.

“Visiting us enables our young adults from Head High to yet again showcase their amazing skills,” Julia said.

The pop-up tea-room will donate fifty percent of all profits to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, which provides essential medical equipment for children’s hospitals and health services across Australia.
