Rooftop Vintage Markets

Greenwood Hotel is hosting their first ever Rooftop Vintage Markets on August 3, with stalls ranging from curated local stands, to stalls by thrifting icons.

Bring your favourite folks and your reusable totes for a day of thrifty finds. The Greenwood Markets will be a haven for all things second hand including clothing, jewellery, accessories, vinyls and more.

Markets will open from 10am to 4pm with – Coffee, bacon & egg rolls from 10am before the bar opens and pub feeds are available from 11am. There will be live music throughout the event with musicians from 10am to 12pm and DJ from 12pm to 4pm.

Night at the Barracks

Mike Carlton in Mosman

The next in a series of author events at Barry O’Keefe Library will feature journalist Mike Carlton talking about his latest book on naval history.

Dive! Australian Submariners at War examines the stories of submarines and sailors and their role in Australia’s defence force through war and other missions.

Youth Photo Competition

A youth photography competition promoting uplifting, positive and joyful aspects of community life in the lead up to Mental Health Month is happening in Mosman.

The contest is for young people aged 12-24 who live, work or study in the Northern Sydney area, with gift cards, workshops and photo displays among the prizes.

Entries close on 11 August. Voting for a People’s Choice Award will take place during Mental Health Month in October.

Northside Produce Market

It’s Plastic Free July and the community is asked to help make Northside Produce Market part of the solution to plastic pollution this Saturday. BYO keep cup, refillable water bottle and reuseable food containers to the market, to reduce the amount of plastic being produced.

If you forget your reuseable carry bags, swing by the Bag Depot at our North Sydney Community Centre Info stall and pick up free bags which have kindly been donated by members of our community. Clean, cloth carry bags are always gladly accepted.

Markets start at 8am on Miller St, North Sydney.
