Your complete guide to ANZAC Day services and events on the lower north shore.
Crowds will return to this Sunday’s Anzac Day ceremonies and marches around the country after public commemorations were cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19.
Here’s what you need to know.
Sydney’s main Dawn Service will be held at the Martin Place Cenotaph at 4.30am, followed by the march at 9am at the intersection of Martin Place and Elizabeth St, in the CBD.
There has been a limit imposed on 10,000 participants for the main march, who can register up until the day of April 25 itself. Read more information on the CBD march here.
Spectators are asked to wear masks, sanitise their hands and socially distance during the event.
Closer to home, there are a number of events taking place.
In Mosman, the ANZAC Dawn Service will be held at the Parade Ground, adjacent to the Harbour Federation Trust Headquarters in Best Street Georges Heights commencing at 5:30am.
Parking will be available on the Georges Heights Oval, a short walk from the Parade Ground. The guest speaker will be Professor Dennis Foley ANU.
The service will be conducted in accordance with current COVID guidance. The RSL sub branch asks if you could please advise your attendance and whether you wish to bring and lay a wreath.
Further enquiries can be made by phoning 0428 523 800 or by email to [email protected].
In North Sydney, the ANZAC Dawn Service commences at 5:45am at the top of Ridge St.
