With cost-of-living pressures beginning to bite, we thought it might be a good idea to check out special “freebies” and discount deals available in our neck of the woods.

Many shops and businesses across the lower north shore offer special deals to customers throughout the year, potentially saving you hundreds of dollars.

Make sure to check the terms and conditions of each offer – plus age requirements – to get the listed freebies. For retail birthday treats, it’s also a good idea to sign up (if required) at least four to six weeks ahead of your big day to ensure you don’t miss out.

7-Eleven – Spit Rd, Mosman
Get a free Krispy Kreme doughnut with the 7-Eleven app on your birthday.
Free Slurpees and coffee also available on 7-Eleven Day (November 7)

Chatime – 21 Broughton St, Kirribilli
Join the membership program and get a free tea of any size, including one mix-in on your birthday. Make sure you set up your account through the app for free, otherwise it’ll cost you 50 cents to do it in-store.

Bakers Delight – 868 Military Rd, Mosman
Dough Getters members will receive one free scone of your choice on your birthday. This offer will appear in your account and can be redeemed at any store around the country.

The Buena – 76 Middle Head Rd, Mosman.
Purchase an adult main meal and you’ll get a free Kids Meal in the Vista Bar every Monday from 5pm.

Student Mondays mean $10 tickets all day. Please note offer not available online and you need a valid student ID. Discount Tuesdays offer $15 adult tickets and $12 senior tickets.
