Police say an intruder broke into the luxury home – while the occupants were asleep – around 2 am.
“The homeowners were awoken by the sound of a door closing and went to investigate, before realising they’d been broken into,” a North Shore Police Area Command spokesperson says.
“While in the house, the individual has stolen several items including keys to the homeowners Porsche and a handbag containing personal effects.”
Police later located the vehicle dumped in a carpark in Mt Druitt. It has been seized for forensic examination and the investigation is continuing.
