Detectives are searching for a masked man who outran police in a high-powered, stolen Maserati.

At about 11:45 pm last Monday (24/6), officers conducted patrols on River Road in Longueville when the driver was observed wearing a balaclava.

Police turned to follow the Maserati, which allegedly steadily increased its speed.

A pursuit was initiated, with checks revealing the vehicle to be stolen. The pursuit continued briefly until it was terminated due to excessive speed and the risk it posed to the community.

Police are making several enquiries to locate the driver of the vehicle. Anyone with information or dashcam footage from River Road must contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

North Sydney Assault

A 36-year-old male has been charged with Common Assault and Destroy or damage property.

At about 11:00 pm on June 15, Police will allege the male attended an address in North Sydney and threw a rock at a glass entryway multiple times until it shattered, then kicked in the door with his foot.

On Wednesday, June 26, at 8:40 pm, Police allege that the same man threw multiple items – including a dining chair and a golf club – from the balcony of an apartment complex in North Sydney.

These items narrowly missed passers-by who contacted the Police.

Police attended the location shortly after and identified the male’s unit. The male refused to let Police into the unit, so police rescue was organised to force entry into the unit.

The male was arrested and conveyed to Chatswood Police Station. The male was charged with Common Assault and Destroy or damage property. The male was granted conditional bail and will appear before Manly Local Court in July.

Local Man Blows Mid-Range

A 21-year-old male has been charged with Drive with middle-range PCA.

At about 6:30 am on Saturday, June 29, the male was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle collision on Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay, where his vehicle collided with a parked car. The force of the impact resulted in the male’s vehicle flipping onto its side. Police were contacted as a result and attended shortly after.

The male did not suffer any injuries because of the crash and was submitted to a roadside breath test, allegedly returning a positive result. The male was placed under arrest and conveyed to North Sydney Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.117 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.

The male was issued a field court attendance notice, and his license was suspended. He will appear before Hornsby Local Court in August.

A 21-year-old male has been charged with Mid-Range drink driving following an accident on Grosvenor St in Neutral Bay last Saturday.

Crows Nest Cocaine

A 20-year-old male has been charged with Supply prohibited drug & Recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime.

At about 11:45 pm Saturday, June 29, Police were in Crows Nest and observed the male for some time. They approached the man, conversed with him and had cause to search the male and his vehicle.

He complied with Police, and during the search, Police allegedly located $2570 in Australian currency and nine small clear resealable bags containing a white powder, which the Police will allege is Cocaine.

The male was arrested and conveyed to Chatswood Police Station. The male was charged with Supply prohibited drug & Recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime.

The male was granted conditional bail and will appear before Manly Local Court in July.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with supplying cocaine in Crows nest.

Mosman Melee + Drug Bust

A 32-year-old male is being investigated for Possess Prohibited Drug.

Police attended shortly after and located the male in a group of three other persons. Police had a conversation with the group and, as a result, had cause to search the male. Police searched the male and allegedly located two clear resealable bags containing a small amount of what Police allege is methamphetamine.

The substance has been sent for testing, and pending the result, the male will be issued a Future Service Court Attendance Notice for Possess Prohibited Drug.

Police have attended a Mosman unit where a group were allegedly fighting others with cricket bats.

Teen carrying Knuckle Dusters

A 15-year-old boy has received a caution under the Young Offenders Act for Possess Prohibited Weapon.

At about 8:30 pm Sunday, June 30, the young person was allegedly observed by members of the public walking around Chatswood with knuckle dusters. Police were notified and attended shortly after.

Police located the young person, who allegedly immediately pulled the knuckle dusters from his pocket and dropped them on the ground. The young person was conveyed to Chatswood Police station where he was spoken to in the presence of a parent.

The young person will be issued with a Caution under the Young Offender’s Act for the offence of Possess Prohibited Weapon.

A 15-year-old boy has received a caution under the Young Offenders Act for possessing knuckle dusters.

Teen Gang Robs Kirribilli Store

Three young persons have been charged with multiple offences, including Robbery in company, Resist officer in execution of duty and shoplifting.

At about 7:20pm on Monday, July 1, a group of approximately 15 young persons attended a store in Kirribilli. Several of the young people allegedly stole items from the store when the shopkeeper confronted them. Police will allege that two of the young persons threatened to assault the shopkeeper if they were followed, and then the group left the location.

Police located the group shortly after and identified the three young persons from CCTV footage. Two young persons resisted Police during the arrest; however all three were conveyed to Chatswood Police Station.
