A Mosman man remains behind bars following the alleged stabbing of a 16-year-old at a house party on Awaba St last Friday night.

Police allege the teenager feared he was going to die as a knife was held to his throat after the gathering descended into chaos at the hands of its two self-appointed bouncers – Hugo Phipson and his friend Riley Taylor, both 20.

Police were called to the residence around 11pm, where they found a 16-year-old boy with injuries to his left thigh. Image: iStock.

Phipson, a local resident, appeared in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

His friend, Taylor, is charged with being armed to commit an indictable offence, affray, common assault and stalking or intimidation.

Documents tendered to the Court and published by The Daily Telegraph reveal police allege a young man at the party was “king punched” and “stomped” on by Phipson and Taylor after being ejected from the residence.

It is alleged the brother of that guest soon arrived at the Awaba St home to confront the “bouncers”, asking “which one of you hurt my brother?”, before a brawl erupted, the Telegraph reported.

As the scuffle broke out between the men, a teenage guest at the party attempted to break them apart, court documents obtained by the Daily Telegraph said.

After the brawl, police allege Taylor and Phipson went into the home and “armed themselves each with a black handled kitchen knife with a 15-centimetre serrated blade”.

At the same time, the teenage reveller who had moments earlier tried to break up the fight, went to leave the party.

As he did so, police allege Phipson yelled “are you scared now?”, before pushing the teen up against a wall and holding the knife to his throat.

It’s believed around 60 teenagers were at the party. Image:7News

Phipson and Taylor were charged and are now before the Court.

The victim allegedly tried to grab Phipson’s hand to force him to drop the knife, and in doing so sustained cuts to his own hands.

Police allege Phipson shouted “get this guy,” before Taylor punched the teenager to the face. Phipson then allegedly stabbed him with the knife to the left thigh piercing his pants and causing a seven-centimetre wound.

Police prosecutors told Taylor’s bail hearing the alleged victim “was so traumatised he thought he was going to die”.

Phipson remains in custody and his case was adjourned until August 7 for a release application. Image: 7News

Taylor was granted bail on strict conditions, including residing at his parents’ home on the NSW Central Coast, to undergo random drug testing and reporting daily to police.

Phipson remains in custody and his case was adjourned until August 7 for a release application.

Taylor is due at Manly Local Court on July 30. Neither man has entered a plea.
