“Niche Mosman” is a new Asian tapas and wine bar, soon to open on Gouldsbury St.

A stylish hot spot with Asian inspired snacks and craft cocktails is planned for Gouldsbury street, filling the void left by Open Circus earlier this year.

Called Niche Mosman, the 60-seat café/bar will offer Cantonese dumplings, Korean fried chicken, and Peking duck meatballs when it opens on April 26.

The team behind popular Neutral Bay café 5 Loaves 2 Fish, led by owner Andrew Park are busy working on the site’s revamp, which will feature a jade green colour scheme to complement elegant internal alterations.

Internal renovations are well underway before the opening on April 26.

“We’ve wanted to expand into Mosman for a long time and it was a case of waiting for the right location to come up,” Mr Park told Mosman Collective.

“Gouldsbury St is perfect for our new venue which will be something fresh, original, and exciting for residents.

“Delicious craft cocktails and a superb wine list, combined with Asian tapas is a great way to enjoy a night out.”

“Niche Mosman” fills the former Open Circus space.

Niche Mosman will be cafe by day, cocktail bar by night.

Mr Park said Niche Mosman will be a café offering breakfast and lunch until 3:30pm each day, before shifting gears on weeknights to become a stylish wine bar.

Small, tapas style tasting plates will be priced around $15-$20, Mr Park said.

“The idea is to serve the best coffee and clean food during the day, followed by incredible Asian tapas at night,” he said.

“We will keep the outdoor dining section and the new interior is going to be very special.

“I’m hoping it will be a great spot for the younger crowd, but also for parents who love to enjoy a quick bite to eat and a good glass of wine with their friends.”
