Food News: Acre to open second Sydney venue on sprawling site in Artarmon.

Acre Eatery is set to expand its culinary footprint, with a sprawling space on Reserve Rd, Artarmon opening in September.

The 2000 square metre site will include a greenhouse and a chicken coop, as well as its own bakery, café, kid’s playground and gardening courses.

According to Good Food, Acre Artarmon is the third venture for the successful group, who already have existing locations in Camperdown and Melbourne.

Acre is best known for its farm to table ethos, championed by head chef Gareth Howard, who is a fan of sustainable produce.

“Ultimately, we want to serve you beautiful food that hasn’t travelled far to be on your plate, that tastes as fresh and delicious as it possibly can, because it’s been produced in the right way,” he says.
