After 70-odd years as a butcher’s, the little shopfront at 37 Spofforth Street, Mosman, has officially entered a new era.
Gone are the utilitarian chopping blocks and chest fridges. In their place, three opulent pedicure thrones, gleaming brass tapware, luxurious ivory-leather recliners, and floor-to-ceiling sheer drapery.

Welcome to The Cuticle Spa, the boutique luxury nail spa now open for business at 2/37 Spofforth Street.
Founder Annie Bedroosi is now taking bookings, with the spa pitching itself online as a “ritual of self-care” built on precision techniques.
Locals will know the shopfront well. It traded for two decades as Shane’s Quality Butchery, run by Shane and Chelsea Chapman, and before that as Barry Collins Butchery, a fixture of the shopping strip going back generations.

In Mosman Collective’s October 2023 farewell story, Shane Chapman said the building had been a butcher’s “for about 70 years, and over that time, not much has changed.”
Until now.
The Cuticle Spa is positioning itself at the premium end of the local nail market.
According to its website, a Classic Mosman Manicure finished with Chanel polish is $75. A Shellac Manicure is also $75, while a Bio Gel Manicure with Tips tops the price list at $150.
Pedicures start at $50 for a Colour Refresh and rise to $90 for the Bio Gel option.
