A family-run business supplying top quality, raw pet food sourced from regional NSW is set to open in Mosman on Sunday, April 7.

Dubbo locals Mal and Amy Reaburn have taken over the Spofforth St butchery vacated by Shane Chapman to provide raw, nutritional meals for lower north shore pets.

Hungry Mate will sell fresh and frozen raw pet food and treats for lower north shore dogs and cats.

Called “Hungry Mate”, the shop will offer a vast array of raw protein, ethically and sustainably sourced from regional NSW, designed to improve the overall health of our furry friends.

“Adding raw foods to your pets diet helps their digestion, oral health and even assists with weight management,” Mal told Mosman Collective this week.

“Our 100% Australian products promote healthy coats and can even reduce skin irritations.”

Hungry Mate is located at 37 Spofforth St, Mosman.

Hungry Mate’s range includes venison, kangaroo, goat, rabbit, hare, lamb, beef, chicken, and an assortment of ready-to-go mixes for those wanting a complete meal for their pets.

All meats are sourced from Central-West NSW and processed quickly for a fresh supply. They contain no chemicals or additives and are a cost-effective way to feed cats or dogs.

“We process and package daily and keep a close eye on every step of the process, offering either fresh or frozen options, with no preservatives, no grain and no fillers,” Mal said.

The shop also sells a wide range of bones.

Hungry mate proteins contain no preservatives.

Chew treats, like meaty bones and marrow will also be available, along with Hungry Mate top seller, the kangaroo tail.

“Roo tails are the ultimate treat for every dog,” Mal said, they offer all the benefits of kangaroo meat with the added bonus of a durable bone that provides hours of chewing for your dog.”

“Our bones, antlers and horns help prevent bad breath by improving dental hygiene and tooth strength, promote digestive health and they are a great source of calcium too.”

All meat is sourced from Central West NSW, processed and then packaged daily to ensure top quality freshness.
