Lower north shore residents have a lucrative chance to own a mini-Australian masterpiece for just $400, in a unique Art Ballot being run by the Royal Art Society of NSW.

Established in 1880, the Lavender Bay independent not for profit gallery boasts a long line up of famous alumni, including Charles Conder, Norman Lindsay, Margaret Preston and Sydney Long.

Art Ballot is on Sunday 7 August.

Details on how to purchase your ticket below.

With just 100 tickets available, works in a variety of mediums will be raffled in a live event taking place on Sunday 7 August.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Coordinator Christine Feher explains that all works are exhibition framed and hung in the gallery with an accompanying catalogue.

“100 tickets are sold at $400 each on a first-come, first served basis,” she told Mosman Collective, “Ticket holders are then invited to view the paintings either in person or online.”

Just 100 tickets are up for grabs and you’ll need to be quick to secure one!

“Each person with a ticket chooses their favourite paintings prior to the Ballot and every person who holds a ticket walks away with a magnificent Australian art work.”

VIEWING TIMES

Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am – 4pm
Last viewing is on Saturday 6 August.

“Art lovers, collectors and friends of the RAS eagerly await this Ballot every year and it’s an incredible opportunity to add to your fine art collection,” Ms Feher said.

Paintings in all subjects, mediums and sizes are donated by artists and all come exhibition mounted.

“It’s an exciting day to be part of and the Ballot is an ideal gift for a birthday, engagement, or wedding present.

“The event is live streamed on the day and we have absentee lists available for those who can’t make it.”
