Mosman's Daisy Thomas has won Australia’s first-ever Winter Youth Olympic medal in Big Air, claiming silver at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea.

Marine experts have advised swimmers to avoid early morning and dusk dips in Sydney Harbour following a shocking shark attack on an eastern suburbs woman.

“It was a pitiful sight,” Audrey Cook would later tell reporters, “the water was full of blood and we could see the dorsal fin of the shark slashing through the water.”
