Real Estate News: After ten years, Mosman local Megan Thomas jumps ship to join Belle Property.
By ANNA USHER
Megan Thomas, a long-time Mosman local who’s carved out a successful career in lower north shore real estate, has left O’Gorman & Partners to join rival agency Belle Property.
And she’s wasted no time hitting her straps, listing a four-bedroom home that’s attracted scores of young buyers ahead of its auction this weekend.
Known for having a “knack” when it comes to uncovering lower north shore homes with scope to value-add, Ms Thomas told Mosman Collective 9 Ourimbah Rd offers “huge potential” for its new owner.
“It is a brilliant property,” she said, “the home is immaculate and stylish, and we’ve seen many young buyers through during the campaign.”
Hidden from the road and offering a wonderful sense of privacy, the tastefully renovated Federation home is open to the north and bathed in beautiful sunlight.
Built in 1912 and newly refurbished, the two-storey home is perfectly configured for family living with a choice of living areas, four large bedrooms, a child-friendly north-facing garden and secure garaging.
“Living is easy, with Bridgepoint just 300m away, city transport on the doorstep and Balmoral Beach just down the hill,” Ms Thomas said.

“It is a gem of a find, and once you enter the property, people are amazed at how quiet it is.
“I’m looking forward to a great outcome at the auction.”
A Mosman resident for 25 years, Megan’s knowledge of the lower north shore and deep understanding of its demographic make her a perfect fit for the Belle Property team, Principal Matthew Smythe said.
“Megan’s exceptional track record, with an average sale price of over $3.5 million, reinforces the team’s belief that she will thrive at Belle Property Mosman, adding tremendous value to their clientele,” Mr Smythe said.
“Away from work, she is an involved community member, actively participating in nippers and Mosman Rugby, creating cherished memories with her two children along the way.”
After five years with O’Gorman & Partners, Ms Thomas told Mosman Collective it was difficult to leave the family-run company. Still, she was looking forward to achieving her long-term goals.
“Belle Property Mosman is a perfect fit for me,” she said, “the brand aligns with my niche in the local market, and I’m excited about this next chapter in my career.”
