Beauty Point Public School announces new “Festival of Light” event to replace fireworks show.

For the first time, Beauty Point Public School will host a Festival of Light laser show, moving away from its popular annual fireworks display in a bid to foster a more environmentally friendly community event.
The “Festival of Light” show, taking place next weekend, will dazzle crowds with a spectacular laser show and Vivid-esque window light displays in the classrooms which have been created by students.
The annual fundraiser will feature the usual carnival rides, slides, a range of food and games stalls, plus live music.
Consistent with the environmentally friendly approach, the school says no plastic water bottles will be for sale, but refill stations and paper cups will be available.
“Beauty Point Public School has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental causes through participation in Arbor Day, Waste Free Wednesdays and the Zero Emissions Schools Network,” Principal Marion Walsh-Gay says.
“We’re proud to be pioneering a new, more environmentally friendly event for our local community which will bring people together and help raise funds for our school.”
Lauren Adlam, former President of Beauty Point Public P&C told Mosman Collective the school is thrilled to have local real estate agent David Murphy on board as a major sponsor of the event.
“We are excited to have David Murphy Residential as our Presenting Partner for the 2022 Beauty Point Public School Festival of Light,” she said.
“David is an incredible, long-standing supporter of the Mosman community and we are thrilled to welcome his team to Beauty Point Public School.”
