Dogs Day Out! Bark in the Park returns to North Sydney this weekend.
By TAYLOR RYAN
Bark in the Park returns to St Leonards Park this Sunday – and you don’t want to miss the chance to show off your four-legged pride and joy.
Local pooches and their owners can look forward to an action packed day of dog demonstrations and expert talks, Doga (yoga with your dog), a Mutt & Meow Market, food stalls, live music and free kids activities.
North Sydney Mayor Zoë Baker said everyone, no matter their canine status, is welcome to join in and immerse themselves in the culture of the North Shore.
“Brought together by our mutual love for our furry friends, the community love to spend the day at Bark in the Park every year with friends and family in our gorgeous St Leonards Park”, she told Mosman Collective.
“Come watch the amazing dog demonstrations, grab a bite at one of the delicious food stalls, or buy a gift for your furry friend at one of the displays.”
Celebrity vet Dr Kate Adams will make an appearance, and to exhaust some pent-up energy, your dog can race against the clock on the Paw-dium obstacle course.
There will be prizes for best dressed pet, an owner-pet lookalike competition and prizes for the best trick.
Raffles and fundraising on the day will go to Bark in the Park’s charity partner, Sydney Dogs and Cats Home.
As a reminder of your time together, event sponsor Pet Medical Milsons Point will be giving away free Magnetic Shots photo magnets of happy snaps taken on the day.
North Sydney Council Ambassadogs for 2022 are eight-year-old rescue dog Dewey, a four-year-old retired racing greyhound called Hudson and a miniature dachshund puppy named Neville.
So, treat your dog to an experience they will never forget at Bark in the Park at St Leonards Park this Sunday!
