Mosman Latest: This is the lower north shore’s most expensive home – and you won’t believe the price!
This is the house that is set to break residential records on Sydney’s lower north shore – and we have all the photos to share with you!
Ex-Woolworths boss Bill Wavish has listed his Kurraba Point trophy home with Ray White’s Geoff Smith, for a cool $35 million.
The four storey home boasts 880 square metres of internal living and sits right on the edge of Sydney Harbour, with views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from every level.
“I’m expecting a significant amount of national and international interest in this incredible property,” Geoff Smith tells Mosman Collective.
“There’s strong demand in the super-luxury property market right now and this home will set a new benchmark.
“It is one of the most incredible and breathtaking homes I’ve ever seen,” he said.
The Baden Rd home has been designed for parties and entertaining, with a huge open plan area on the lower level, featuring a stunning 8 metre bar that comes with a built-in dishwasher, oven and four Vintec wine fridges.
The Wavish family are well known for their opulent parties, which have welcomed up to 200 guests at a time.
“The lower level is the stuff dreams are made of, with the bar area leading out to an expansive lawn, swimming pool – and the harbour,” Geoff said.
“Performers like Havana Brown, Bjorn Again and Elton Jack have played at Baden Rd parties – and on New Year’s Eve there is nowhere else you want to be.
“You will not find a home with better views, better interiors or better workmanship anywhere in Sydney.”
The five bedroom, seven bathroom home also features a commercial gymnasium, home office, security control room and two garages with parking for four cars. All four floors are serviced by a lift.
Underfloor heating – and two kitchens complete this masterclass in luxury living, along with a four storey back-lit travertine marble wall that adjoins a floating glass and marble staircase.
Bill Wavish and wife Vonnie plan to downsize, now that the youngest of their children has left school. In retirement, the couple plan to focus on a number of indigenous charities including the Clontarf Foundation and the National Indigenous Culinary Institute, which Bill co-founded.
