Food News: North Sydney’s famous Produce Market reopens this weekend!

Sydney’s oldest and best produce market is back after a three-month lockdown, with dozens of growers returning to Miller St, North Sydney this weekend.
A smorgasbord of produce including organic fruit and veg, meats, poultry, cheese, fresh flowers, pasta, bread and seafood will be available from 8am-midday, with free parking available on Ridge St.
Deemed an essential service (like supermarkets), please be aware the market will be open to all vaccinated and non-vaccinated members of the public.
Market co-ordinator Lisa MacDonald says people are encouraged to pre-order where possible.
“We thank everyone in advance for their cooperation and understanding of our Covid-19 safety practices which will enable the market to be as safe as is possible and for it to continue to remain open,” she says.
Northside Produce Market Saturday Covid Safety Rules:
- Pre-order where possible.
- Do not attend the market if you are unwell.
- QR check in and out of the market.
- Always wear a face mask at the market.
- Maintain a physical distance of 1.5m.
- Shop, Tap ‘n Go.
- NO food or drinks are to be consumed on site – Take Away only.
- Hand sanitiser is available for use at every stall.
Now in its 22nd year, Northside Produce Market normally operates on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8am till midday, except January when the market is closed on the first Saturday of that month.
FUN FACT: Did you know Dogs (on leash) are welcome? And, you’ll find water bowls at the information stall!
